Division of water resources investigating Beaufort wastewater

BEAUFORT, N.C. (WNCT)- The Division of Water Resources is reviewing an estimated 9,000 gallons of untreated wastewater flowing in the town of Beaufort.

It happened at the intersection of Highway 101 and West Beaufort Road, on Turner Street and the 1300 block of Front Street.

The untreated wastewater was discharged into Town Creek and into Taylor’s Creek in the White Oak River Basin.
