PCSO pranks WNCT, ENC with Keith Urban look-a-like

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office and Boys and Girls Club of Pitt County pulled the wool over Eastern North Carolina eyes, including WNCT, with a look-a-like of chart-topping country singer Keith Urban.

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office posted a photo on their Facebook account Friday evening saying Urban was in Greenville Friday night for the the Boys and Girls clubs Ultimate Pre-Game Party. Although many were quick to comment that the guest star was in fact not Urban.

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office originally confirmed the look-a-like was in fact Urban, but later let everyone in on the joke for the charity.

The Boys and Girls Club of Pitt County held their annual party, which featured a live auction with items from area businesses, entertainment and a dinner.

The original post said Urban’s security was provided by the Sheriff himself. The Sheriff’s Office later commented that the look-a-like was all in good fun for a auction at the event. The comment read, “OK all you supersleuths, you’re hired! It was too good to be true wishing it was the real Keith Urban, but the Boys and Girls Club just confirmed that it was all in fun to raise money and it was just a look-alike. No time for DNA testing, but we are sure that the participants had fun at the event.’
