Two people airlifted after Jones County accident

JONES COUNTY. N.C. (WNCT)-  Two people were airlifted Saturday after a bad accident in Jones County.

Ronald Bryant was driving south on NC 58 when he turned too quickly and hit another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was Eric John Queen and the passengers were his daughter, Alexis Queen, 15, and her boyfriend Jamie Hardison, 17.

Both Alexis Queen and Ronald Bryant were airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Alexis Queen is now in stable condition and Ronald Bryant continues to be in critical condition.

Jamie Hardison was taken by ambulance to Carolina East in Craven County.

Eric John Queen was not seriously injured.

The accident happened on NC 58 near Greentown Road.

The highway was shut down around 3:30 p.m. so a helicopter could land and transport the victims.

Ronald Bryant is charged with unsafe movement and failure to yield.
