Missing MCAS Cherry Point UAV recovered

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, N.C. (WNCT) – Marine Corps Air State Cherry Point says a missing unmanned aerial vehicle has been recovered.

The unmanned aerial vehicle ditched on June 25th. The original search for the aircraft was suspended on June 29th.

MCAS Cherry Point says the RQ-7B Shadow was conducting a training exercise when it went missing.

The aircraft was recovered on Tuesday.

The cause of the mishap is under investigation.
