Heavy smoke at home on Westgate Drive

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- The Battalion Chief on scene confirms heavy smoke from a home in the 3400 block of Westgate Drive in Greenville.

There was no fire and no injuries on scene.

Fire officials tell WNCT that hats were left near a lightbulb on a dresser, which started the smoke.

Stations 1 and 2 responded to the call, along with ambulance personnel.

A neighbor says the woman who owns the home came back from a vacation and found smoke coming from her house.

No one was displaced during the incident.
