GPD searching for suspects in Taco Bell robbery

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Greenville Police Department tells 9 On Your Side a Taco Bell employee was injured during a robbery at its Stantonsburg Road and Memorial Drive location Saturday morning.

Police say they received a call around 6 a.m. The suspect knocked on the rear door of the restaurant and was let in by the manager who thought he was an employee.

An employee had just left the building to take the trash out. The suspect then forced his way inside the business and subsequently took money.

There were two suspects in the robbery. Suspect 1 is described as a black male around 6-feet tall and a thin build. The second suspect matched the same description but never entered the building.

The employee who was outside taking out the trash was hit by one of the suspects and suffered minor injuries. He was taken to Vidant Medical Center as a precaution.

Officers are in the process of reviewing surveillance video for leads.
