Goldsboro Police: Man wanted for Wednesday fatal shooting arrested

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – The Goldsboro Police Department makes an arrest in a fatal shooting from Wednesday.

Police say the shooting happened just after 3o’clock in the afternoon. Officers say when they responded to a home on the 200 block of Alpha Court they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he died.

Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Perez McDuffie of Goldsboro.

Investigators identified the suspect as 40-year-old Carols Darden.

Police say Darden was arrested without incident Wednesday night.

Darden was taken to the Wayne County Jail after being treated for unrelated injuries at the hospital. He is being held without bond.
