$100K bond for driver charged with hitting mother, child in Bethel

BETHEL, N.C. (WNCT) – A Bethel man accused of hitting a mother and her child learned he’ll have to pay $100,000 for his bond.

A judge set the bond for William Moore Monday morning during his first court appearance.

Bethel police arrested him Friday saying he crossed the lane on Smith Street hitting the two.

Police say the mother is still recovering in the hospital. The child was treated and released.
