Onslow Co. shooting suspect scheduled to go before judge.

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – The suspect in an August 8th shooting is now in custody. Raymound Abdul Toudle was wanted for shooting a man in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Police say the incident happened just before 5 a.m. at the Handy Mart near Hwy 258/24 and Rhodestown Road. The victim, Prince Hatchell, was shot while seated in a vehicle in front of the store.

He was taken to Onslow Memorial Hospital by two others and suffered non-life threatening injuries from a single gunshot wound. He was later transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville and later released.

Toudle was scheduled to head to court on Monday.
