Hit and run in Greenville leaves one injured

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A hit and run in greenville this morning left one man in the hospital.
Police received a call short before 3 a.m. of a hit and run on S. Memorial Drive near Charles Blvd.

The victim is a 47 year old male. Police say the man was riding a mo-ped when he was struck by a vehicle.

“We’re in the beginning stages of the investigation right now,” said Sgt. Rollinson. “From what we’ve been told, he was struck by a dark colored SUV, possibly a Land Rover or Range Rover, and that’s where we’re at right now.”

He was transported to Vidant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
