“For the Leathernecks” concert aboard Camp Lejeune gives Marines chance to have some fun in the sun

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (WNCT) – A music and comedy concert aboard Camp Lejeune Friday helped Marines relieve some stress with some fun in the sun.

The “For the Leathernecks” concert event featured actor and comedian Brandon Jackson and music artist Lupe Fiasco.

A volleyball tournament, corn hole tournament and tug-of-war also took place for some friendly competition along Onslow Beach.

Comedian Brandon Jackson said participating in events like this are special to him.

“Young people protecting our country, that’s honorable. It was more for me about the cause,” said Jackson.

The event was hosted by the Camp Lejeune Single Marines Program as part of their fourth annual “For the Leathernecks” tour.
