2 men injured in shooting at Goldsboro hotel

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Two men are recovering after multiple hotel rooms were hit by gunfire at America’s Best Value Inn in Goldsboro.

It happened Friday morning just before 3 a.m. The hotel is located at 701 U.S. Highway 70 East.

Police responding to the scene found 32-year-old Anthony Dwayne Jackson of Goldsboro and 40-year-old Montrel Demontrio Allen of Greensboro had been injured in the shooting. They were transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital by personal vehicle for treatment.

Allen was treated and released. Jackson, at last report, was listed in stable condition.
