Kinston man charged in weekend stabbing

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – A Kinston man is arrested and charged in the stabbing of another man over the weekend.

40-year-old Cedric Antonio Edmondson is accused of stabbing James Cox Jr. on Sherman Street early Saturday morning.

Witnesses led investigators to Edmonson.

Tuesday, police charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

He was in the Lenoir County Jail for a felony probation violation from Virginia.

The new charge has him under a $100,000 bond.
