UPDATE: One dead, two injured in Greenville stabbing

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- One man is dead and two others recovering from stab wounds following a fight in Greenville Wednesday night.

Police responded to a large fight in a parking lot around 9:30 on Paladin Drive, located near B’s BBQ, where they found two men with stab wounds.

Both men were transported to Vidant Medical Center with serious injuries. When officers arrived at the hospital, they discovered a third male had shown up at the Emergency Room. Officers believe his injuries were also connected to the incident on Paladin Dr.

Greenville Police say Liyahsha Shaqua Jones, 20, died at Vidant Medical Center late Wednesday evening.

Two other victims remain in the hospital with injuries to their faces, but are expected to survive. Greenville Police identify the two other victims as Jeffron T. Jones, 24, and Jakevion Greene, 18.

Police say they were able to develop substantial leads after the fight. They believe the fight stemmed from an ongoing dispute between to known groups of people.

No one has been formally charged in connection to the stabbing. Police say they anticipate a resolution in the case soon.
