Area teams continue preparations with scrimmages and jamborees

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Area high school football teams continue preparations for the 2015 season with scrimmages and jamborees this week.

Early Wednesday DH Conley played host to perennial 1A power Tarboro.

Later in the day defending 4A state champion New Bern played host to former Mideastern 4A rival Wilmington Hoggard.

Four teams gathered at Greene Central Wednesday night. The Rams played host to JH Rose, West Craven and SW Edgecombe in a four-team jamboree.

Farmville Central hosted South Central in Farmville as well.

On Thursday perennial 3A power Havelock with host SW Onslow. Southern Nash is hosting a six team jamboree on Thursday.

Friday features jamborees at Camp Lejeune, which will include 16 teams, Tarboro and Southside, among others.
