West Craven High to receive $50K for welding program

VANCEBORO, N.C. (WNCT) – Craven County Schools are set to receive $50,000 for updates at West Craven High School.

It’s all in an effort to offer students college-level welding courses.

The program is collaboration between the school district and Craven Community College.

The purpose of the program is to give students a head start on obtaining their welding certificates.

Students can start signing up in February.
