Groupon deal refunded as University Chophouse closes

The University Chophouse in Greenville has closed its doors, shortly after selling a deal on Groupon.

The restaurant in the Lynncroft Shopping Center off Evans Street posted a sign on the entrance reading: “the landlord for The University Chophouse has terminated our lease.”

Stan Garnett of Argus Development Group confirms the company terminated University Chophouse’s lease the first week of July.

If you purchased a deal for the restaurant on Groupon.com – you should have received an email from the online marketplace.

Erin Yeager with Groupon tells us the company sent an announcement to all those who purchased the deal, offering a refund.
