GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Greenville Utilities will begin testing fire hydrants this week. The purpose is to collect data that will help assess the condition of the pipes. The testing starts on July 14th and ends in August.
They will open the hydrants and allow water to flow for up to three minutes. They will start south of the Tar River between Memorial and Greenville Boulevard.
They will also look at fire hydrants in Uptown Greenville.
