Farmville store temporarily closed due to fire

FARMVILLE, NC (WNCT) – Firefighters responded to the call of a fire on a roof at a store in Farmville.

It happened after 2 PM at the Trade Wilco Hess station on E. Marlboro Road.

Multiple crews responded, but those on the scene tell us the flames were out by the time they got there.

The A.C. unit is being blamed. A second unit was used to cool the store.

It was closed temporarily after the fire.
