CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Police are trying to figure out who fired two gunshots into a school bus loaded with children in southwest Charlotte.
The Charlotte Observer reports (http://bit.ly/1HjaUaI ) Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the shooting happened Wednesday.
Police say a bus driver told them that he had left Olympic High School and was headed to drop off students at West Mecklenburg High when he heard shots near Sandy Porter Road and West Arrowood Road.
Police say the driver continued to the school and dropped the students off. Authorities say the students and the bus driver weren’t injured.
Police say the driver returned to Olympic High School and called police saying he had located two bullet holes in the bus.
Police are working with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools police to identify the person responsible.
