GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – A church forum in Greenville on Thursday focused on teaching children to make a difference in the world.
At St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, dozens gathered for the forum where they openly discussed when they first noticed racism, They divided up into groups.
Some said they remember experiencing it a far back as 2nd grade.
“You start one community at a time, this is my belief, and you work only with the churches the mosques, the temples, you work with all cultures, all faiths, all races,” said Samar Badwan.
The group talked about ways to teach children about racism.
The forum was co-sponsored by the Greenville Human Relations Council.
