Veteran group rallying community in Swansboro

SWANSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) — The Concerned Veterans of America’s Defend Freedom Tour made a stop in the East Saturday to rally veterans in the region. The group aims to encourage veterans, military families, and other citizens to hold the Department of Veteran Affairs accountable.

The group says they made the stop in Swansboro because the Jacksonville VA hospital is regularly among the facilities with the longest wait time at VA medical centers in the nation.

The event Saturday was held at the Swansboro Rotary Club and featured special guests including Pete Hegseth, a Fox News contributor and veteran.
