Kate Peacock crowned Miss North Carolina 2015

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCT) – A Dunn native and Meredith College sophomore is the newly crowned Miss North Carolina 2015.

Miss Dunn Kate Peacock was crowned Saturday night in Memorial Auditorium. Her year of service will take her across the state and she’ll represent North Carolina at Miss America in September. CLICK TO VIEW 9 MORE PHOTOS OF MISS NORTH CAROLINA 2015

Peacock is the recipient of a $12,500 scholarship. She performed a tap dance to “Swing the Mood” and also was awarded the Hailey Best Overall Talent Award.

Miss Metrolina Cheslie Kryst was 1st Runner Up and was awarded a $3,500 scholarship.
