BEAULAVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Two people are dead after a car ran a stop sign Thursday in Duplin County.

State Troopers say a car driven by 25-year-old Michael Miller went through a stop sign on Edwards road at the intersection with NC 24.

That’s between Beulaville and the Onslow County line.

The accident happened just after 7 pm.

After running the stop sign, Troopers say Miller’s Nissan Maxima was T-boned by a Ford truck, which was driving on NC 24.

Both Michael Miller and a passenger, 32-year-old Leslie Isham were killed.

Isham’s 11-year-old daughter was also in the car. She suffered internal injuries and a broken arm but is expected to be okay.

The man and the girl who were in the truck were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigating troopers say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
