GREENVILLE, N.C.(WNCT)- McDonald’s provided happy meals to around 65 children today in Greenville. It was a part of the summer lunch program that is put on by the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The program is in place to help feed area children during the summer while school is out.
Renee Arrington, the founder of the Little Willie’s Center said, “today was awesome, tremendously awesome, it was empowering. We have a summer empowerment camp, what a way to empower these children today.”
After the meal the children received a visit from Ronald McDonald.
