GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Pitt County Schools are investigating D.H. Conley High School’s coach after changing his suspension.
On Thursday, the school system suspended Brian Paschal for seven days in July with pay. Then the system changed his suspension to be indefinitely.
Conley athletic director Rob Maloney and Conley principal Don Marr told WNCT’s Brian Bailey that they could not confirm anything further regarding the suspension because it’s a personnel issue. School spokesman Brock Letchworth told WNCT that they are still investigating.
Paschal has served as the Vikings head football coach since March 2010. Paschal has coached football in eastern North Carolina for 19 years, with previous stints at Roanoke and Washington High School.
WNCT is currently looking further into the suspension, and will provide more details here when available.
