3 easy ways to help victims in Charleston

After the devastating shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, many are asking how they can help. We’ve compiled a few ways.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Many in Charleston and around the world are asking how they can help the families of the victims of the Charleston church shooting at Emanuel AME Church.

If you would like to donate to the city’s Mother Emanuel Hope fund, you have several options.

  1. TEXT – Text “prayforcharleston” to 843-606-5995 or go to thewebsite bidr.co/prayforcharleston to donate. All funds go to help the families of the victims.
  2. BANK – You can donate to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund at any Wells Fargo bank.Find a location near you: https://www.wellsfargo.com/locator/
  3. ONLINE – According to Time, a website http://www.motheremanuelhopefund.com/ for contributions to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund will be ready to accept donations by midday Friday. The city of Charleston has already pledged $5,000 to the fund.
