Dozens brave the heat at Greenville market

GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – The pre-summer heat advisories continued on Wednesday, but dozens of people still showed up to Uptown Greenville’s Umbrella Market.

Many vendors were out and ready to help people cool off with lemonade, beer and ice pops.

Baked Ashley’s pop shop owner Ashley Hale says the warm weather’s heating up business.

“The big thing is to support the small businesses and the local farmers around town, but at the same time, keeping everybody cool while it’s 90-100 degrees outside,” said Ashely Hale.

The umbrella market returns next Wednesday.
