Child on bicycle hit by vehicle in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A 12-year-old boy has been seriously injured in Raleigh after being hit by a car on his bicycle.

Multiple news sources report the accident occurred Tuesday night.

Police say the child was taken to WakeMed hospital for treatment.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle was not hurt. He has not been charged in the accident, but was arrested on an unrelated charge.

The boy’s name has not been released.
