Man, woman arrested on drug charges during Kinston traffic stop

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) – A man and woman are facing drug charges after a traffic stop on Monday.

It happened at the intersection of Queen Street and Vernon Avenue in Kinston.

Officers tell 9 On Your Side they spotted drug paraphernalia, in plain view, in the vehicle. After consent to search the vehicle, a K-9 team and officers found Schedule II meth, needles, a pipe, tinfoil, along with empty packets of Schedule I and Schedule II.

They arrested Mark 57-year-old Anthony Mann and his passenger, 31-year-old Brandi Michelle Blizzard, under arrest. Officers also found ten packets of Schedule 1 heroin was recovered from Blizzard’s bra. They were placed in the Lenoir County Jail.

Blizzard was given a $15,000 secured bond. Mann received a $5,000 secured bond.
