SNOW HILL, N.C. (WNCT) – In his last two tournaments, Nick Rousey has finished a combined 46-under par. His 265, 23-under finish this weekend was good enough to win the 5th annual Cutter Creek Classic.
The four-day tournament in Snow Hill, N.C. is part of the Swingthought.com Tour. With the tournament victory, Rousey earned $20,000. What’s more, Rousey celebrated his 35th birthday on Sunday.
Two golfers with North Carolina ties also impressed this weekend. New Bern’s Tanner Briele opened the tournament on Thursday with a 67. Briele, who graduated from New Bern High School and for a short time played at East Carolina University, finished at 7-under, 13th overall.
Grayson Murray, a Raleigh native who also played at East Carolina, snagged an 11th-place finish, 9-under for the tournament.
