Greenville city council members will take the next step in deciding whether to extend their time in office.

City leaders currently run on two-year terms.

Earlier this year, the council held three public hearings to see whether voters would approve extending those terms to four years.

City attorney Dave Holec will present an update Monday night on voters’ reaction.

The council will also hold a public hearing on its proposed budget for next fiscal year, which includes a pay raise for some city employees.

The meeting will take place in city hall’s council chambers.
