Three Marine Corps tank crews from California, Louisiana, and right here at Camp Lejuene competed in the 13th Annual Tiger Competition Friday morning.
The best crews representing each of the Marine Corps’ three tank battalions competed for top honors at the event.
Live fire exercises took place and the crews were judged on their ability to engage targets based on a proposed threat. They’re also judged on communication, technical proficiency, and decision-making abilities.
The competition requires months of intensive training and is characterized by fierce competitiveness.
The tank crews competed throughout the morning to be named the best armored warriors in the Marines.
The 2nd Tank Battalion from Camp Lejuene was the winning tank crew. They will go on to compete in the Army Sullivan Cup next year.
