If you’re heading to the shore, there are several great opportunities for your kids to get in on summer learning.

All four North Carolina Aquariums have unique summer camps and classes available to kids and adults this summer.

The Roanoke Island and Jennette’s Pier locations have several day camps catering to young and teenage learners.

Some camps with spots still open include camps on digging dinosaurs, sea turtles, aquariums behind the scenes and fishing. Most of those camps cost about $200 for the full week.

Aside from the summer day camps for kids, each location has a summer calendar with a fun line up of activities and events.

Pine Knoll Shores has everything from dive and feeding programs to stand-up paddle boarding classes.

Many programs are included in regular admission; some interactive ones are a few extra dollars.

Tickets for kids under 2 are free and go up to $10.95 for adults.

You can buy them on site or online.

The four aquariums: Roanoke Island, Jennette’s Pier, Pine Knoll Shores, and Fort Fisher each have their events calendar listed on their websites.
