Of the millions tuning in tonight for the final “Late Show with David Letterman,” a Greenville couple who will be watching said they share a love for each other and the show.
“He’s in our living room. He’s influenced us. He’s talked to us. He’s humored us,” Ben Cashion said. “He’s kinda put us to bed every night for 33 years.”
“I might cry tonight,” Molly Cashion said.
The couple has been together for seven years and watched the show on a regular basis.
“I was, I’ll say, more attracted to my wife when I discovered that she was a Letterman fan,” Ben said.
“That made it easy because we didn’t have to fight over the remote control,” Molly said.
Ben and Molly have several fond memories of the show especially with guests like Julia Roberts, Bill Murray and Jack Hanna.
“I hope that it’s not that important to our relationship because he’s going off the air tonight so hopefully we’ll survive it,” Molly said.
“It’s been a good run,” Ben said.
