A Blount’s Creek man is accused of stealing a motor off a boat at a Grimesland business.

44-year-old Jeff Boxman is charged with three counts Felony Larceny, three counts Injury to Personal Property, one count First Degree Trespassing.

Deputies say he’s the suspect that broke into Mark’s Marine on May 11th by smashing the lock to the boat yard area of the property and stole a 2014 23′ Parker boat with a Yamaha F-250 XCA boat motor attached.

The boat was recovered the next day in a vacant parking lot in Vanceboro, but the motor was missing.

Deputies recovered the boat motor from a storage building at Boxman’s residence as well as a stolen trailer out of Washington.

Boxman was released on a $50,000 unsecured bond.
