The state NAACP is in Pitt County to hold a Moral Monday meeting.
Organizers say the focus will be on the legislative record of some local representatives, including Brian Brown, Susan Martin, and state senator Louis Pate.
The NAACP also says it plan to discuss poverty in Pitt County. As of 2012, almost 40,000 people in Pitt County live in poverty.
The poverty rate is 6 percent higher than the state average and almost 44 percent of residents are low income.
The event is at the Lucille Gorham Intergenerational Community Center at 7 p.m. on Ward Street in Greenville.
