Water pressure is back to normal in Hubert after customers experienced low pressure over the weekend.
According to Teresa Zavala with the Onslow Water and Sewer Authority, the issue was resolved shortly before midnight on Sunday evening.
ONWASA crews were dispatched and assessed the areas.
Crews found a valve which is normally in the open position at one of the elevated tanks had malfunctioned had closed itself.
“To the best of our knowledge, this was not storm related, but is uncommon. I don’t have any explanation of how it happened,” said Zavala.
The closed valve caused a wide span of consumers in the Hubert area.
