People gathered in Uptown Greenville Friday to participate in a kind of community bucket list.
Many shared their thoughts and opinions on the “Before I Die” wall between the Starlight Cafe and Winslow’s. The wall is a part of a global art project that invites people to reflect on their lives and publicly share their personal aspirations.
“I think, maybe just a minute or more to think about their life and how they want to live, you know? What’s most important in their life and then maybe some impetus to drive themselves in that direction,” explained Susan Redding, End of Life Care Coalition of Eastern NC.
The wall was created by artist Candy Chang as a one-time installation, but since has gained global momentum.
So far, there are over 550 walls created in 73 countries in over 36 languages.
