A Winterville woman is in jail charged with arson and burglary.

The Greenville Police Department tells 9 On Your Side  Ornisha Bernice Cratch was arrested on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old faces First Degree Arson and Second Degree Burglary charges.

Cratch is accused of breaking into an apartment on Allen Road and starting a fire in the bathub. The incident happened on April 9th. 

Officers say Cratch appears to have known the family living in the apartment; however, no one was home at the time of the fire.

Cratch is being held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.
