The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an early morning accident where an SUV hit a Pitt County home.

Pitt County Communications tells 9 On Your Side the accident happened behind a duplex located on the 1500 block of Hollow Drive.

Troopers say they were called out to the accident just before 12:30a.m. on Tuesday.

A 9 On Your Side reporter went to the scene and reports the parts of the foundation of the duplex as well as some of the siding. Tire tracks were visible from the curve of B Stokes Road to the back of the duplex, which is separated by a ditch.

9 On Your Side has a call out to Highway Patrol to find out if anyone was hurt during the accident.
