Enrollment is now open for a private school looking to address community issues in Greenville.
This fall, the Third Street Academy will open to interested male kindergarteners.
The idea is, if you can get to at-risk youth at an early age, you’re likely to make an everlasting impact.
“We feel like it’s an important step in building character in young men who don’t have a positive male role model in their lives,” explained Troy Milburn, Third Street Academy.
Gangs are a problem in the area of the school and the academy’s goal is to attract students living nearby.
Space is limited and scholarships are available.
