Georgia man, 3-year old daughter killed in Duplin Co. crash

A Georgia man and his 3-year-old daughter are dead after an overnight car accident in Duplin County.

The accident happened on N.C. 111 near Beulaville  around 4 o’clock Sunday morning.

Troopers tell WNCT that 28-year-old Terrence Jackson died on the scene and his daughter, Payela Jackson, died after she was taken to the hospital.

Highway Patrol says Jackson hit a ditch and then a tree before overturning his car.

Both passengers were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.
